Allison C. Bray, PhD. is the Director of Programming at Empowering Student Success, LLC (ESS). While overseeing programmatic development at ESS, Dr. Bray is involved in curriculum facilitation and virtual delivery of the ACCESS program to college students. She also enjoys providing presentations on the ACCESS program, as well as supervising graduate student trainees who are leading ACCESS groups on their university campuses.
Dr. Bray earned her B.A. in Psychology from Bates College (Lewiston, ME), and her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During her graduate school training, under the direction of Dr. Arthur D. Anastopoulos, Dr. Bray received extensive specialty training in the treatment and assessment of ADHD with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to serving as a mentor for college students with ADHD in the initial open clinical trial examining ACCESS (Accessing Campus Connections and Empowering Student Success), Dr. Bray contributed to initial development and refinement of the mentoring guidelines. Dr. Bray also completed her predoctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX), where she continued her training in comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessment, as well as cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies with youth and adults in inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient programs. Following fellowship training, Dr. Bray served as a staff psychologist for LeBauer Healthcare (Greensboro, NC) in the Behavioral Medicine division, where she specialized in the comprehensive assessment and cognitive-behavioral treatment of ADHD in adults.
