Empowering Student Success (ESS) LLC is dedicated to helping college students and high school seniors with Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) find greater success in their academic, personal, and social-emotional functioning.
ESS offers a variety of direct services, training opportunities, and educational resources for students with ADHD and for the campus staff and others who support them.
At the forefront of these efforts is our highly successful, evidence-based ACCESS Program, which gives students with ADHD the knowledge and skills necessary for navigating the challenges of college as well as the transition into life after college.

Accessing Campus Connections and Empowering Student Success (ACCESS) is an innovative, evidence-based program for college students & high school seniors displaying features of ADHD. Based on cognitive-behavioral principles, students gain the knowledge and skills necessary for academic, personal, and social success.

Over the years the ACCESS program has been covered by various media outlets, including appearing in the August 2025 edition of Attention Magazine published by the CHADD organization.

Empowering Student Success LLC is dedicated to sharing evidence-based information regarding: (1) the impact that ADHD can have on young adults enrolled in or planning to attend college, and (2) the important role that the ACCESS Program can play in helping students successfully navigate these ADHD-related challenges. ACCESS was conceptualized, developed, and refined over ten years. As part of that process, ACCESS was systematically evaluated, initially in an open clinical trial and then later in a large scale, federally funded, multi-site randomized controlled trial. Findings from both trials support the efficacy and feasibility of ACCESS as an intervention for young adults with ADHD enrolled in college. Recent pilot work also suggests that it can be adapted for use with high school seniors with ADHD planning to attend college.
For many young adults with ADHD, the transition to college can be very challenging, as they take on increasingly greater responsibility for managing their schoolwork and so many other daily life activities. In addition to the ACCESS Program, there are many resources available to help them meet this challenge.

Arthur D. Anastopoulos, PhD is the founder and Executive Director of ESS. Dr. Anastopoulos is nationally recognized for his contributions to the development, testing, and implementation of numerous assessment procedures and interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults dealing with ADHD.
